4 month check up

You had 4 immunizations today so you weren't a happy camper after your appointment. You are in the 83% in your weight 15.9 pounds and your are in the 16% in your height 23.5 inches. You are such a healthy, growing, little girl!

We spent the rest of this day just snuggling and hanging out.

Day to Day December 29th...

Today we had your 4 month check up.

While mommy was doing her hair and getting ready to go into town for your appointment daddy had to leave so he laid you in the middle of our bed. It must have been very comfortable because you were talking and giggling to yourself and then i found you like this!

Day to Day December 27th...

We took down the tree today. We wanted to have more room with your swing and your bouncy toy. You are so cute and love to play in your bouncy seat! It's fun to watch you play and learn things!

Day to Day December 27th....

A year ago today I found out I was pregnant with you.... One of the happiest moments of my life!! I cried and freaked out, I was so happy I was running around the house jumping up and down. Your Daddy was out snowplowing so I tried to call him but he didn't answer. I called your Grandma and told her she was super excited. I went to work and ended up taking 3 pregnancy test through out the day to make sure it was real. I stopped on the way home from work and bought some stuff to hint to your Daddy that you were coming. I put some "Dad's Rootbeer" Baby Ruth candy bars, baby lotion and the pregnancy test in a basket. Daddy got home around 3am the next morning and I couldn't sleep I was so excited to see his reaction to the great news. He knew something was up because I was wide awake and standing in the kitchen when he got home. He walked right past the basket at first on the coffee table. I pointed it out to him. He said that he thought it was a baby shower gift I was going to give to someone. I said nope it's for you. He looked at it very curiously and then found the pregnancy test. He was so excited he just looked at me and said really?!?! Mommy started to cry and we hugged and Daddy got a little teary eyed as well :) Wonderful news!!

Day to Day December 20th...

Today you woke up very talkative. You played and ate breakfast. G-Ma and Grandpa Young came up to watch you while Mom went to get her hair done. You were so cute with them. G-Ma said you did so good you talked to grandpa and played with G-Ma and took a little nap.
When I got home from my hair appointment we played and cleaned the house. You loved being in your bouncy toy today. You started singing or at least it seemed like that was what you were trying to do.

Day to Day December 19th...

Well today you are officially 4 months old baby girl!!! You are really starting to be vocal and active! You don't want to hold still and you are almost always talking!! It is so cute!

We fed you your first real food this week also, Rice cereal



Friday December 16th-
* We went and ran some errands in the morning and you got hungry faster than mommy anticipated so we had to cut the trip short you weren't standing to wait any longer.
* Aunt Jayci and Uncle Chase came up to visit as well. You were born the day Uncle Chase left for his internship to Washington D.C. So this was the first official meeting. You kept staring at him it was fun.
* We also took some cute pictures of you for your 3-4 month age. I will post some of these soon.
Saturday December 17th-
* Daddy went and helped your Uncle Ladd with his house, so we went and hung out with your Grandma Hendrix and G-Ma (as your dad nick-named her, after she called him Lonnie-poo) you were pretty good, you fussed a little bit when you didn't want to go in your car seat again. But that is normal.
* We went to dinner at TGI Friday's with Mandy and Chip and there kids, Audrey, Conner and Kyson. You woke up right when mommy's dinner came. Of course.
* We took you with us to go see Arthur Christmas and you slept through the whole thing. Really cute movie by the way.
* We went and visited G&G Charlton so that you could eat before we went home. You love little kids. Your cousin Kinsley was talking to you and you were loving that, just a grinning and almost giggling.
Sunday December 18th...
* You slept for most of the night last night and we just chilled in the morning and then went to church in the afternoon. We didn't really do much today just hung out.

Day to Day entry December 15

Today we just chilled at home and made a christmas wreath. You were very cuddly and very talkative you were cooing and goo-goo ga-gaing all day long :) It was pretty cute! Karly and her mom Jen and Aubrey came to visit today. You love watching little kids you were all smiles. Karly loves playing with you.

Finished and final Project for the Nursery!!

I had one final project I wanted to complete to finish off Miss Kennadee's Nursery. I made some pom poms to hang from the ceiling above her crib for her to look at when she wakes up or is just lying in her crib. They turned out pretty cute ;)





She watched me hang them and was laughing and smiling at me.

Day to Day entry December 10th....

Okay it has been a while since I last posted. We have been pretty busy trying to get our lives into an organized chaos. It's been fun to watch you with the lights on the Christmas tree and all the other decorations. You are starting to hold things and grab things and put everything in your mouth. You are able to entertain yourself with the taggie that Mommy made you. You love it. You are also able to lay on your back and look around for a little while and look at everything around you and be entertained. Daddy has been working with you for the past 1-2 weeks to help you start to roll over. You are starting to roll on your side pretty good by yourself, you can't quite get over your arm that seems to always be in the way. You like tummy time for a short while, so we figure that when you do figure out how to roll over you will figure out how to roll back over really fast. Ha ha ha! You haven't quite figured out how to keep holding onto anything yet you know how to grab it but keep it is another story. You are really starting to smile and almost laugh not quite there yet. You love when we talk to you directly and make eye contact you smile really big, so big your eyes almost disappear. It is to cute! I will have to post some pictures of that. You love your night routine even more now. You recognize when we are getting ready to have bath time. I will get you undress down to your diaper and play with you for a few minutes while Daddy is getting the bath water ready and then the second you see the bath tub and Daddy you start getting excited and smiley. You can't wait to get in that warm water.
You are still being pretty demanding. The second you figure out that you are hungry you go from a little whine to a flat out scream in a matter of seconds. The same goes for if you are not getting what you want. Your Daddy and I are in for a real challenge ;)

Day to Day entry November 29th...

Today's post is mostly for Mommy...
I had a really good day yesterday spending it with you... Yesterday was the first day that you were really, I mean REALLY cuddly. I think part of it is that you don't feel good but when I would pick you up you would nuzzle your little nose right into the crock of my neck and wrap your little arms around my neck. I spent most of the day snuggling up with you. You have your first cough and your sad little face after you cough when you look at me it melts my heart. You just look at me like why am I doing that and why does it hurt. You also have a pretty bad diaper rash, I think this sickness that you have combined with the new formula is not 100% sitting well with your little tummy. You have little sores that we are trying to keep diaper rash cream/athlete's foot cream mixture on to help you feel better. Last night you just whimpered for a little while as Daddy cuddled with you in his "Papa Bear chair" as he so cutely put it :) We let you play on the floor with towels around you naked for a little while. You started to get a little cold so we wrapped you back up. We did your usual bedtime routine and you were going to sleep fine until I put you down in your crib then you had another blow out. I changed you and then you didn't want me to put you down for at least another 30 minutes. You looked up at me from your crib with a look I couldn't resist. We rocked until you fell asleep.
Today you are being cuddly still but I think you are getting better. Your diaper rash looks like it is getting better. You love your changing pad in your room if you are upset we just have to take you in there and play with you with a pink feather that I have purchased to make you a hair bow but it works to tickle you and entertain you for now :)
You helped me do laundry for the first time yesterday :) It was pretty cute. You didn't know what to think of the baskets at first but then you realized that the sheets your were sitting in were warm and you scooped them up in your little hands and you put the corner straight in your mouth and started making all sorts of little growls and grunts it was really cute.

Day to Day entry November 26th...

So we woke up to your happy face today again. You are so happy in the morning and it is so fun to get you up. We wanted to get out of the house so we got you dressed up and went into Logan. We did a little shopping while you slept and then we picked up lunch for us and your Aunt Lori and we went and visited. You only really get fussy if you have a air bubble or you are hungry or really tired. You have been really good today. We took some really cute pictures of you in your new little outfit and headband.







You are so adorable. We had to take some pictures of your happiness today.

You are getting your first cold, we think. You have started to cough a lot and it sounds really gunky. You are also not liking the coughing you cough multiple times and then make a little annoyed sigh and pull a upset face. It is really said. It looks like the coughing hurts you start to cry a little sad cry. Hopefully you get better soon.

Day to Day entry November 25th...

So we have started you on a new formula and we think it is helping you a lot. You have been napping better during the day and you are also sleeping better at night. The past few nights you have slept 8-9 hours. Thanksgiving morning you slept for 9 hours for the first time through the night. I woke up at 6:30am and panicked...I ran into your room and touched your nose to make sure you were breathing...you were fine :) It's nice to be able to get some sleep especially knowing that you are doing good. Today we decided to go visit your uncle Linsey in Morgan and we tried to stop in Riverdale at the Target and it was a mad house for Black Friday. We decided to go back and found some good deals on clothes for you :) We went and visited Grandma Charlton yesterday and you were really good for her she was so happy that the formula is working and you are happy after you eat and aren't as fussy anymore. Good thinking Grandma! :)

Day to Day entry November 24th...

I'm grateful for a healthy family and a beautiful baby girl that is adorable :)

Day to Day entry November 23rd...

We haven't really had that much of an eventful few days. Daddy had his birthday yesterday and we just stayed home and chilled. You slept a lot today. We have switched you to Nutramegyn formula to see if it helps you to not be so fussy. We will see how that goes in the next few weeks. It is pretty expensive so if it works it works and we will stick with it.
You like your bouncy chair and you love the little hanging toys. The monkey is your favorite! It is so cute to watch you smile at it and also talk to it.

Day to Day entry November 21st...

Friday we had a chill day because it was snowing most of the day. It was a good day you were a little bit fussy but not to bad. Daddy decided to move the TV downstairs so we could utilize the whole house. It is a little weird because it is so quiet upstairs but it is nice to have a little family room downstairs and I can spend time with him while I try and get caught up with your scrapbook from birth until now...which means yes I'm officially 3 months behind. You were officially 3 months old on Saturday. Time has flown by it seems like only a few days ago that I was pregnant with you kicking inside of me. Saturday we went and celebrated your Dad's 40th birthday at Red Lobster the whole family was there that could be. It was really nice. I tried to keep it a surprise but your cousins Kelich and Kinsley gave it away :) Kelich said your going to dinner with my mom and dad to Red Lobster tonight aren't you. Daddy had no idea until then, Kinsley said happy birthday and Daddy said not until Tuesday and she said nope it's today. So Daddy new something was going on. Ha Ha Ha. I tried.
Sunday we went to church and Mommy taught her lesson in YWs while Daddy watched you. Then we just hung out while you were being really fussy fighting sleep. We are going to try and get you to nap during the day more. You take 10-20 min power naps and they are just not cutting it.
Today Mommy had a birthday party to go to for a coworker so we went to visit all Mommy's friends at work. You were pretty good and everybody thought you were the cutest thing ever!! Which of course you are. :)
P.S. Tucker shook off in front of you and you happened to be watching and you let out the cutest biggest giggle so far. To bad Tucker can't do that on Que! :(

Day to Day entry November 16th...

So we went to visit your great grandma Young today. You have had a few days of being really fussy and wanting to be held all the time. Dad and I have been trying to figure out what has changed. Any other mom that I talk to has told me the same thing, she is a baby and she is just at that age. I hope you get through this "age" soon. You have your moments of being really sweet and then really ornery. You just don't want to miss anything so you fight sleeping during the day so by 5pm you are pretty fussy unless we are holding you. Great Grandma was really good with you she said she would spoil you to much if she had you everyday because she wouldn't ever put you down. You love your Great Grandma. She had you smiling and acting so cute.

Day to Day entry November 13th... Good Morning!!

I love getting this little one up in the morning she is all smiles and so ready to get out of her swaddler. It is adorable. She gets sooo excited!

Day to Day entry November 12th...

I have been chilling with my little missy for the past few days and haven't really been on the computer so I will give a brief update.
Wednesday we went out to my friend Phelicia's to get mommy's hair cut. You did so good you slept the whole time. You liked the sound of the hair dryer I think. Daddy got home from work and watched you while I went to dinner with my friend Christy and her son Braxton. Yesterday you helped me make Pretzel bits covered in Parmesan cheese and also cinnamon and sugar. They were yummy. I found the recipe on Pinterest, one of my favorite websites right now. I love the fact that it's a virtual bulletin board to keep track of all my likes :)
Thursday we hung out at home and just watched "Bones" I found this whole series on Netflix and am hooked right now. You seem to like it to when your in my lap you enjoy watching it with me. You are starting to like your me time to just chill and talk to your toys and just look at all your surroundings.
Friday we went and visited your cousin Daysha while your daddy went hunting with her husband Adam. She made us homemade Broccoli cheese soup and you were so cute. You cracked a few really big smiles for her. I haven't taken any pictures I'll have to do that again. We are starting to be able to distinguish between your cries, when your ornery, when your tired, when your hungry, or when your just being a brat ha ha ha. You know what you want and you let us know your not happy until we figure it out. We need to get you a onesy that says I'm diva and I know it in rhinestone letters or something... That would fit you perfect.

Today we went to the JJ Cole Warehouse sale and got you a bundler for your car seat to keep you warm this winter and also a few things for your room for really good deals. We went and walked around the mall for a little bit to, to get out of the house. We had the 2nd snowstorm of the season today that left about an inch of snow on the ground. You gave daddy a really big giggle he said when he was playing with you in your room. I missed it though :( I know there will be lots of others like it :)
I'm going to try and document the delivery and everything from the day you came into our lives so that I have it written down somewhere for you to read when you get older :)
