Day to Day October 28th...

It's finally Friday! It has been a good day. You were in a good mood today. I had to run a few errands and you were such a sweet baby today. We went to Sam's Club to get our tire fixed from our little Scenic drive adventure. (Which by the way was supposed to be under their warranty but it turns out it wasn't so I had to pay almost $75 to get the tired replaced...needless to say we won't be using them again for tires) You just looked around everywhere while I picked up a few things at Sam's and were curious about everything.

Today was your 2 month Well Child Check. Your pediatrician Dr. Brown. We love him. He said everything looks great you are doing really well and will start solid foods and rice cereal around 4-5 months. Your next appointment is at 4 months.
You are in the 42% in height and weight. You weighed in at 11 lbs. 2 oz. and length 22.5 inches. You are in the 20% for your head circum.
We visited all of mommy's friends at work and you had to get 3 shots, it was sooo sad, mommy cried almost as much as you did. Your face went bright red and you started to cry such a sad cry :( I think daddy should have to go with us next time and see how it is. You kept letting out little whimpry cries after that.
We went to the mall and walked around so you could ride in your stroller and sleep.
We gave you baby Tylenol when we could tell that your legs were hurting you. It makes you a little sleepy.

Chillin' with daddy!

Your such a beautiful, growing baby girl!! :) We love you!

Day to Day entry October 26th..

I decided we needed to get out of the house today :) We went and visited Gardner Village with your Aunt Jayci. They had the village decorated for Halloween with crazy cute witches everywhere.

You are such a good little shopper. It was a little to cold outside to keep your cover off of your stroller so you slept most of the time and you were so good to let us keep taking you in and out from shop to shop to see everything.

It was a great get-out-of-the-house day! So fun!!

Day to Day entry October 25th..

Some random pics of you chillin in your pj's with mommy.

You have been going through a growth spurt I think. You have been wanting to eat every 2 hours the past few days and you aren't consistent as to how much you want to eat. You are sleeping really well though. You are starting to know our bed time routine. We give you a bath and then daddy feeds you and then swaddle you and mommy rocks you until you are almost asleep and then puts you to bed. You sleep for about 5-6 hours every night you have for the past almost 2 weeks. It has been nice.

Daddy was playing with you on his lap tonight and you were trying to do a fake cry and he would make a loud noise and stop you mid cry and you gave us your first real giggle. It was sooo cute!!

Day to Day entry October 23rd..

We decided to take you on a scenic drive from Hardware Ranch to Grandma and Grandpa Hendrix's house today. The Ant Flats Road is the dirt road section between Hardware and Monte Cristo. We ended up getting a flat tire. So we had some nice guys from Georgia working up at USU stop to help change the tire with your Daddy. We were about 15 minutes late to your cousin Xander's birthday party at G&G Hendrix's house.

We took family pictures of their family so that Grandma could have more up-to-date pictures on her wall in the play room and her family photo wall, so while we were taking pictures we had all the cousins lay on a blanket and take pictures as well.

Then we put the girls together, Ennovy is always talking about "Baby Kennadee" it is so cute!

And finally the cutest little girl ever!!

Day to Day entry October 22nd..

We went on a trip with your Great Grandparents, Uncle Blake and Aunt Lorrie and your Uncle Jordan to Burley, Idaho. This has been a tradition for our family since before I (your mom) was born. They go golfing and just relax. It was fun. You did really well in the hotel room. You slept from 11pm to almost 5pm it was awesome!! You would get fussy every time Uncle Blake would hold you. The second he would hand you back to me you would calm right down. Blake really felt bad. I told him you just didn't know his smell. The joke of the trip was that he stunk after that.

You spent time with your Great Grandma Young, she insisted on giving mommy and daddy a break. It was very sweet. She called about the time you should be getting hungry and asked where the formula was, I could hear your hungry cry in the background. I felt so bad. Your little cries tug on my heartstrings.

Day to day entry October 19th:

Last night you had a rough few hours being the little diva that you are :)
You didn't want to be put down at all and just want to be held and rocked and cuddled from about 5-8pm. It was cute and frustrating all at the same time...needless to say dinner didn't get made we had left overs. We read several books together and rocked in your room and we sang primary songs too :) I think you were over stimulated. We went to Sam's club to pick up some things and you were awake looking everywhere... I think you overloaded your little head :) Daddy came home and you cuddle with him for a little while and then bathed you... I always worry about dressing you after the bath you don't like to be cold. This time I tried a little baby massage and took my time putting the lotion on. You didn't cry at all you were so happy. I fed you a little bit more and you were almost asleep so I put you in the swaddler and the second you figured out you were being restrained you started to get really fussy and then I picked you up and it was like a switch was flipped. You became so incredibly happy it was sooo stickin' cute!!!
You went to be about 11 and woke me up to eat at around 4:30. You did really good.

Day to Day entry October 17th..

Miss Kennadee has been great today we have been chilling at home and went to visit Paula or Nana as she said for us to call her. You have been sleeping off and on today. You have been really happy today as well, smiling a lot and you love being bounced on our bed. You are still on every 3 hour eating schedule. Last night you slept from 11 to almost 5 it was a really good night for you. Once morning started to come you started squirming in your swaddler. You grunt and growl when you don't want to do something, you didn't like your arms being held down anymore. The second I unwrapped you, it was happy time. You love being held up above our heads in the air. You are starting to act like you want to giggle. I will post any cute stories day to day as they happen. :) One thing I took a video of you in your happy place. You love your changing pad you get so happy. Oh and you always give the biggest grin right before you fall asleep it's adorable.

Day to day happenings! (Catch up!)

I've decided to try and make this a daily occurrence to document our daily lives and new things that happen with this new little adventure we have been blessed with :

We have gone through a lot since we brought this little one home. She has been a great blessing and a great challenge, but a good challenge let me point out.
The week to week changes in her growth and her personality as well as the day to day changes are amazing!
Week 1: This week was all about catching up on my strength and getting used to having her here 24/7. She was on a feeding schedule of every 2-3 hours. We went through all of the difficult challenges that come from breast feeding. It was a great shot that we both tried but it just wasn't a good match for us so we switched her to straight formula and she has been doing great on that. We had our first photo shoot this week, Aunt Jayci helped us with that. She didn't really enjoy it that much until Daddy came home and she heard his voice then she calmed down and started to cracked little smiles here and there. She loves her daddy!

Week 2: We are starting to adjust to the sleeping schedule. Miss Kennadee has her days/nights mixed up which I've been told is typical. She is a really alert little girl. She is already recognizing our voices and tries to find us with her eyes. She hears little things and stops eating to try and figure out the sounds. She has been a little bit of a fussy one, as soon as she figures out she is hungry she cries (and the cries just escalate until she gets the bottle in her mouth. She drinks so fast at that point that she ends up spitting up alot and she scares herself. This is a learning experience. She doesn't like her bathes because she doesn't like being cold. She doesn't really like having her diaper changed either because she isn't fully dressed and she gets cold... I don't blame her for that. We figured out we don't like the bassinet next to the bed. I found a co sleeper from TJ Max that she can sleep in between us in our bed. She is doing better with that and so are we. We took you out on your first family outing to see your cousins on both sides. I had a little bit of anxiety when we went to your Dad's family because everyone wanted to hold you, it was cute!

Week 3: We are starting to get into a routine some what, as in you are eating every 3 hours and are the best little shopper. You just sleep in your little car seat while I push the shopping cart! It's a good thing you are learning early to enjoy it because we do a lot of that female bounding with your Aunt's and Grandma's that way. We discovered this week that you like to take showers, Daddy holds you and you love the steam and warmth of the water and you are completely content and calm. You've decided that you sleep best when you are laying on your tummy on mine or your Daddy's chest. It makes it hard for us to get sleep but at least you are sleeping. :)

Tucker is also getting used to you. He is still a little confused when Daddy is making his little noise to get our attention and it is not for him. He will get used to it eventually. You are starting to become a little diva this week. You won't stop crying unless we are swaying with you or bouncing with you and standing up. You can tell when we sit down. I put your first big flower on your head this week I think.

You love your soft fuzzy blankets. You immediately calm down when you are wrapped in one of them.

Week 4: We are trying to figure out your little tummy problems. You are struggling with spitting up and being fussy and gassy. We starting trying the gas drops recommended by your pediatrician those seem to help a little bit. I called your Aunt Becca for advise as well. She suggested leg exercises. They help you but you definitely let us know when you are tired of them. You have started to smile a little bit when you see us or when you like the funny faces or noises we make at you. You have started to like laying on your tummy and also on your back so you can kick your legs. Your happy place is on your changing pad in your room. You just kick and coo and almost giggle and smile.

Week 5: We've decided to switch your formula to the gentlease for fussiness and gas. We also switched bottles to a slower flow and it is supposed to help with fussiness and bubbles. You have done amazingly well and much better! You are starting to smile a little bit more and really recognizing our faces. You like going on walks with me in your stroller and you love it when daddy comes home. You have a fussy time of night that you just want to be held and have our full attention. Dad gave you a taste of his lime Popsicle you weren't really sure about it but you kept licking your lips so I think you liked it.
